Alaska Cruise

A Guide to Skagway Weather

Skagway weather is moderate throughout the year, with high temperatures averaging in the 60's throughout the late spring and summer tourist seasons.

Skagway is located in the temperate rainforest of Alaska's Inside Passage, where precipitation is consistent throughout the year, keeping the region lush and green. However, fortunately, the late spring and summer months are also the driest months of the year in this region, with average precipitation of only 1 inch per month in June and July.

Therefore, there is a good chance you will see at least some sunshine on an Alaska cruise as you head through this breathtaking area.
