Pike Place Fish Market, located on the Upper Street level, is known for its "flying fish", where employees throw fish to each other, creating a vibrant, unique atmosphere.

Pike Place was established with the idea to let consumers "meet the producer", and that tradition continues today, with farmers, fishermen, and artisans selling the wares.

Located close to both the major cruise ship terminals, Pike Place is a great place to visit before or after an Alaska cruise.

It is accessible from Seattle Place via monorail, and since the on-site parking can fill up early during the summer months, you can park at Seattle Center (the site of the Space Needle) and then take the monorail to Pike Place.

Pike Place Market is open every day but Christmas, New Year, and Thanksgiving, and it's a place no visitor to Seattle should miss.
