Plan Your Trip to Denali National Park

Denali Alaska Tours can be a great way to start or finish your Alaska cruise.

In fact, a trip to Denali national park makes for a wonderful vacation by itself.

The park is absolutely huge - three times the size of Yellowstone, or as big as the state of Massachusetts.

There is simply no way to see all of it in a day or even a month.

  • See a dogsled demonstration.
  • Go on a guided natural history tour of the park.
  • Take a hike on one of the trails near the visitor center.
  • Take a shuttle bus ride deeper into the park.

If you are staying for a full day or two:

  • Go on a "tundra wilderness tour", which takes you as far as the Toklat River.
  • Visit the Murie Science Center and take part in an educational program.
  • Take a ranger-guided discovery hike or nature walk.
  • Go on a bus ride to Fish Creek or to Toklat.

If you are staying for a few days or longer:

  • Hike the McKinley Bar trail and see Wonder Lake.
  • Take another discovery hike - there are several different offerings.
  • Use the park shuttles to access hiking trails deeper within the park.
  • Go on a rafting excursion just outside the park boundary.
  • Check out companies offering flightseeing tours of Denali and the incredible glaciers - the best way to see the park!
