Banff is a true four-season resort, with three great ski resorts within the park - Ski Banff@Norquay, Sunshine Village, and Lake Louise.

The ski areas have over 240 groomed trails between them.

But the summer is my favorite time of the year to visit this region.

With incredible hiking, pristine alpine lakes for canoeing and kayaking, and endless waterfalls, mountain peaks, and alpine meadows to view and explore, this truly is a wonderful place for a summer vacation for people of all ages.

The park has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and with it's stunning lakes and alpine terrain, you can see why this place was singled out as one of the most beautiful natural regions in the world.

The park also contains the town or Banff and the hamlet of Lake Louise, with such renowned institutions as the Banff Centre for the Arts providing a touch of culture and luxury in this amazing and pristine environment.

There is nowhere else outside of Europe with this mix of culture and Alpine beauty.

And in many regards, the natural beauty of this area surpasses that of even the Alps themselves.

So use this Banff map and this site as a launching point to explore this amazing park and region, either as an add-on to an Alaska cruise or as an incredible mountain vacation.
