Before we get to planning your Alaska cruise vacation, I thought I’d let you know a little about me.

Having worked in travel, I realized that in today’s world, a local travel agent is something of a dying breed.

But while the large travel sites are wonderful for finding low-cost hotels and plane tickets, they lack the personal touch and often the first-hand knowledge of a local travel agent.

The problem with online booking

When you call the customer service number of one of the large online companies to inquire about an Alaska cruise, your call is generally answered by a customer service agent who knows little or nothing about the destination you are interested in.

Odds are, they have never been to Alaska either.

People miss the personal touch and insider knowledge offered by their local travel agents, yet they enjoy the convenience and great pricing found online.

Adding the personal touch

I created this site in order to fill the need for detailed information on Alaska cruises and vacations, delivered from a personal point of view.

Since I love Alaska and know it well from my travels and my work, I decided to dedicate my site to this wonderful state.

This site is filled with my personal knowledge, tips, and advice.
